a really nice lady named connie ran the shop, i wonder what happened to her. she was in her 70s i think and the shop closed maybe a year after i moved here. she was a really lovely woman. most of my things came from her :) she gave me a lot of stuff, not just clothes but little household items she'd pick up at estate sales and such. i sent scarletgeryon a slip connie gave me that never fit me but it was art of her wedding trousseau.

there's a lady much like that in bloomington. her whole family (daughter, husband, and son) used to own vintage stores as well, but they all shut down/were replaced by stupid overpriced apartments. so sad.

i think my lady's husband was a cobbler. he had fixed all the shoes that were in her shop :)

yep
braxton's dad lives on lake minnetonka (plus the purple rain ref)
i don't think minnetonks moccasins has anything to do with lake minnetonka really except maybe they're (used to be at least) made in minnesota.

AVOCADO SOUP

2 avocados
1 c vegetable stock
1 c orange juice
1 c yogurt
1/2 c cilantro
1/4 c purple onion
2 garlic cloves
1 tblspn ginger
s&p to taste

chop, chop, dump in blender, chill
