We went to the campus trail hike a thon earlier & also visited the
Inside of the Dewitt cabin--they had reenactors in period dress and
It reminded me that it is almost halloween and all I had done was cut
out the pattern pieces and fabric. It seems not too hard to make,
So far--I finished the lining and put together the bodice; I have sleeves
Left to do, plus attaching the lining to the bodice, finishing bits (boning
In the front, hook & eye closure--i could use straight pins
But dont want to prick orryn) and
The apron/skirt, which is a lot of fabric but simple sewing. I love sewing,
It is very soothing. I wish I was a little better at it, but I think it just
Takes lots of practice, patience. Many quilts to work on... I think
The weather puts me in a crafty mood, too; I was looking at yarn
At framers market this morning and considering knitting a scarf. Good
Cold-weather activities, and tea. We need some wood for our fireplace.
I made my pioneer were-fox dress, too. Maybe I will break that out and
Wear it to teach class.
